His Rib

By Lisah Moore

2 Timothy 3
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was. 10But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

My prayers go out to the women who, in Timothy, are constantly being deceived by so called Men of Faith. While on the one hand I am upset and angry with these men who portray a form of godliness to convince women to have their way with them, I am satisfied in knowing that God will chastise these hypocrites according to their folly. On the other hand, I am greatly concerned with women who are constantly being taken advantaged of, sexually, due to their lack of wisdom or restraint. It takes a true spirit filled woman to be able to abstain and wait on the Lord. To be patient and to use wisdom when speaking with a potential mate takes a great deal of faith. I don't speak with you about a subject that I am unfamiliar with. I have also had to endure a time of restraint. With God all things are possible!

Ladies, you should become alarmed if the man you are interested in welcomes sexual advances or physical pleasure that is shared by a husband and wife. A true man of God will immediately put off those advances, he will flee the situation or he will correct and reprove you in love. He will not welcome them; He will remove himself! No matter how strong his desire is for you, his desire to please God should be much stronger. If this man can not flee temptation with you, consider other temptations that he will not be able to flee from in the future. God has equipped all of us [as Believers] with His spirit that lives in us, to be able to be rescued from all temptation. There is no temptation known to man that God can not provide a great escape! A man can be intelligent, attractive, active in church and eloquent in speech. If he is not sent from God he is not God's gift for you.

Consider this: God will not give you someone who will push you away from Him. There is no compromising your sexuality for sin. Not only will this open up consistent fornication, but it will invite more sin. Ladies, LOVE WAITS. If he doesn't, he isn't the one. Remember, there is good and there is great. What appears to be good in our eyes is not always what is great in God's eyes. Prove yourself worthy to the GREAT GIFT that God has in store for you. Don't be impressed by words, clothes, cars, education, etc. Be impressed by your mate's restraint and sincere relationship with Christ. This is demonstrated not by his blogs, his songs in the choir or his miraculous testimony on the pulpit, but by his character and the way he honors you and fears God IN YOU. Stop being so impressed by any man who quotes a scripture! Watch out for those church boys. Ask God for discernment so that you can determine a false prophet when you hear him. Don't be deceived, Eve.

And lastly, women please do not try to entice a man with your sexuality or by being provocative and sensuous. I am sure this is not the Proverbs 31 woman that becomes the Excellent Wife....

The Gift of You

By Monique Strong

For many of us, there has been a season of preparation. We must remember that at some point the season of preparation leads us to a time of readiness. What has God been preparing you for? Are you ready? For whatever He was preparing you to be, there was a need for it developing as well. For some of us, that need is saying, ready or not, here I come or here I am! Are you ready? Or will another have to rise up in your place? No matter what you decide, the need will be met.

Yes, what God has for you is for you. But what good is a gift that is left unopened? Although some packages are simply beautiful to look upon, the value is within. Paper, ribbons and bows can all be repurchased. Even ripped away and on the floor they still hold their beauty, just in pieces. But the true value of what's given is in the usage of what's within.

Accepting the gift is only the 1st step. Learning its functions and how to operate it is the next. Actually using it for the purpose it was intended is where its true beauty and value is revealed. You are a gift given to someone or even to some, by God. Live in such a way that He steps back in awe of you, as you move so perfectly in the purpose He designed you to. Women of virtue are necessary in this time. He is calling for them to step forward, stand out and raise the standard. Our daughters, sisters, nieces, cousins and aunts need godly examples. You’ve been prepared and positioned…Let’s go!

Keep it Kingdom!
