A worshipper, a warrior, a soldier, a servant, an intercessor and a woman interdependent upon Christ. Her story didn’t start out this way...But God! Monique’s past was far from pretty and laced with sin. Though not ashamed of her past she is no longer trapped by it nor dwells on it. She is a woman on the go and grow, who has set her sights on a higher call and living a godly life. One that pleases her Father with a reflection of Jesus the Christ.

Monique was born and raised on the Westside of Chicago, IL. and relocated to Charlotte, NC in May of 2005. Under the anointed and powerful teaching of the Gospel through Bishop Thomas and Apostle Jean Porter, Mo grew and matured in her walk and relationship with Christ. She also accepted her call to the ministry and was installed as a minister in October 2007. Shortly after, she felt the tugging of her heart strings as she was being lead back to Chicago. In total submission, she obeyed and now serves with the powerful and wise Pastor Demetrius Brooks and the entire Revelations family.

With a passionate and poetic soul she uses everything within her to serve her King. In 2003 God gave Monique the call and charge to found Lift a sister up ministries, Inc. ~ LASUM. However, LASUM wasn’t founded until October 2005. During those two years in between, God had His work cut out for Him in preparing Mo for ministry. “There was a lot of kicking and screaming, hair pulling and running, but I realized the person I was fighting was me and that He wasn’t chasing me, but patiently awaiting me to return. So here I am sold out and walking in my newness in Him and my God given anointing and Kingdom Authority.”

Our mission at LASUM is to see every woman walking in the fullness of her purpose. Whether she has been called to change her family, community and/or change the world. LASUM will do her part to assist her in embracing her full identity. We will forever successfully strive to empower every woman everywhere. Her background is simply her starting point. Our focus is set on her hope for the future. Providing words of wisdom, prayer and support during her healing process from her past, while nurturing her future. We are building a sisterhood of powerful women of strength with ambitions beyond limits. We are creating a place for women from all walks of life to come together and encourage one another to become successful in their homes, communities, churches and the world.

Women are the heart of their families. As each member of her family moves about daily, they take a piece of her with them. When she is full of joy, everyone connected to her has a seed of joy within them and with that, they posses the potential to be full of joy as well. Our assignment at LASUM is to create an atmosphere where women of all kinds can connect/re-connect with the woman inside. The woman who lives, loves, laughs and is full of joy. We are carving out a time and space that will allow all that will receive a place to release, receive, re-direct their focus and replenish to continue on in their assignments.

In this latest season many things have shifted for many people everywhere, thereby giving birth to new ministries, businesses and organizations that had been placed on the back burner for quite some time. LASUM via its many avenues will provide an opportunity for female entrepreneurs to promote their endeavors, exchange mutually beneficial services, gain exposure for their many gifts/talents/skills and empower other women to dust off their destinies and walk in the fullness of their purpose.

God is resurrecting the virtuous woman. I plan on pouring out all the Father pours into me to ensure every woman willing to receive her restoration has all He desires to offer through me. I am a yielded vessel, fabulously fit for whatever occasion He sends me to, ready to represent Him to the fullest! How about you? We are the light of the world and it’s time to shine!
